- Prepare a soft and smooth dough by slowly adding approx. 250 ml (1 2/3 cup) of water/milk into the mix. Grease your hands with oil/ghee and make up to 100 round Jamuns. Make sure they are covered with a moist cloth to prevent them from drying. Deep-fry the jamuns on low flame in oil/ghee till they are golden brown. Drain the excess oil/ghee and soak the fried jamuns in hot sugar syrup for about 30 minutes. Add equal parts of sugar and water and allow it to simmer until the sugar dissolves.
